An interesting addition are the 2 paragraphs (in bold) which explain the importance of using Genuine NuTone Intercom and Video Wire and how not using NuTone Wire would void your MPP Warranty.
This was becoming a problem with some installations because of the growing popularity of CAT5 Communications Cable. CAT5 was the "magic cable" of the time and many people thought it could be used for everything, including NuTone Intercom System.
This was not the case because CAT5 is a smaller gauge wire and the twists in the pairs are different. This caused problems with how the Intercom features worked and degraded the Music quality.
NuTone's Video Systems were very cable dependant and they used RG58 video coax. The lengths of the coax runs were limited and exceeding them resulted in picture quality problems. Installers often used RG59 coax, which is meant for cable TV systems, which would not work with NuTone's Video Equipment.
