Thankyou, also, for your promptness and professionalism in returning phone calls, and fixing our chime, and shipping it back to us. We were (and are) amazed and thankful .

To others reading this, you will be happy and satisfied in dealing with this company. We could not find a doorbell with the proper wiring to replace this one (which stopped working)..... in which we have 2 doorbells wired to the LA-52 in an annexed room, but then wired to a nice/pretty speaker in our dining room. We decided to send it to Chris to get it fixed. Yes, it costs more than a new doorbell, but it was worth it, and will last many many more years.

First of I want to apologize to you and your company for taking so long to thank you for the repair of my Model IMA-3303 series intercom system. It works fine and was returned quick.
You told me what the problem was and how you would go about the repair. My system sat for a long time before I found you. I was told by a local company that they would check it for a certain
amount of money and I would have to replace the system. It was lucky for me to find your company. AGAIN I WANT THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY AIDE.

My NuTone IM 3003 model stopped playing music at my remote speakers as well as the intercom function stopped working all together. So I have been following Northside Service for about 2 years because I knew one day I would want to get my intercom system back up and running again. I kept reading so many positive posts from people praising Chris for taking a broken system and breathing new life into them. I was never sure if I would get a new system or repair the old one. I just reciently decided to repair it because to buy a new system would be a lot more money, first to buy a new system and then repair the walls after taking out the old system! New systems were smaller and would necesitate replastering and painting the walls. So repair was definitely the cheaper alternative.

I watched all of Chris's videos which pertained to my IM3003 modle. I followed the take down video and successfully replicated the taking out of the unit. I watched the how to package the unit for mailing and replicated that too. Then I watched the video on how to properly clean the remote stations and I did everything the video said to do. Chris had communicated with me the entire time and had a repaired unit back in my hands within 2 weeks. WOW!. I now have a unit that works like the day I bought it!!!

Thank you Chris very much for being such an OLD SCHOOL repair technician!! Anyone who might be on the fence about ending your old system away to be repaired, please do not hesitate in sending it to Chris at Northside Service Center. You will not regret the decision.

We manage an apartment complex with a NuTone 478 Apartment Intercom system that was installed in the mid 1970s. Over the years parts of the system started failing and no one locally could repair the system. They would all say that we needed to install a new system. More than the cost of the new system was the logistics of running new wire in the finished walls up three floors. After searching online we found Chris and Northside Service Company. After talking to Chris, he said he could fix our equipment. We have received the first piece back that he repaired and are thrilled with his service. I now know that we will be able to get our entire system up and running and will be sending in pieces from the other buildings. Thanks Chris

My IM3003 intercom is an old unit. Since the chimes quite working, the radio reception and tuning were very poor, and could no longer set the clock, searching the web led me to Northside Service. After watching several of the videos, decided to give Northside a try.
Chris and his staff received my IM3003 master station on a Friday and Cindy called on the following Monday afternoon to let me know it was done along with arranging for repair payment. I installed the repaired
master station (received it via Fed Ex on a Saturday morning) and it was like getting a new unit. The chimes sound great, the radio (AM/FM) reception is good, the clock works again, and all the buzzing and humming is gone!!
Kudos to Chris for the great repair/rebuild process at a reasonable charge with terrific turnaround time!! Highly recommend Northside Service to those with Nutone units that may need service or repair. Wonderful customer experience!

Chris,

Nice job one restoring my NuTone K44 chime block (door chime) to full function. When one of the chime blocks solenoids stopped working, I hit the internet to find help on what might be the problem and what to do about it. I found your video about repairing, cleaning and restoring these chime blocks and I thought I'd try it myself as I'm pretty handy. But I soon realized that I would need your help as I was able to see the problem with my solenoid and it needed more than just cleaning to get it going again. The rear cap had rotted and cracked off and I knew I would never be able to source this part. Fortunately, you had found a suitable replacement. You did a really nice job getting my doorbell back on all of its feet.

In my work I get to use some of the most advanced technology there is today, however, I have a spot in my heart for technology of the past and I couldn't let this piece go to its grave on my watch. It has joined some other pieces I have resurrected to full functionality, including several AT&T 501 rotary dial telephones and a old Tappan Greenbrier gas range from the early 1950's.

Chris was absolutely incredible in assisting with the resolution of the door chime problem with my IM-4006 Intercom system. His YouTube videos showing how to remove boards and the master station are very explanatory and thorough. It makes it very straightforward to remove the part and ship it to him. He didn't even charge for diagnosis. Cindy ensured that my Master Station was returned rapidly.

For people, like us, with vintage Intercom systems this service almost qualifies as a National Treasure!

I contacted Chris regarding my dead IM3303. His instructional videos and the time he spent on the phone were extremely helpful in removing and shipping my IM3303 for repair. Chris had us back up and running in less than two weeks. He was also more the willing to help me troubleshoot some remote speaker issues after re-installing the unit. Hi Chris,

Thanks for your assistance in adding the 3.5mm auxiliary jack to my IM-4006 master station. The excellent Youtube instructional video describing the process along with you spending time on the phone with me answering questions enabled me to finish the job quickly. Having the new input jack allows me to stream music from my iPad either from the music library or from the iHeartRadio app. I am happy to have found someone to address my future intercom service needs and will be sure to recommend you to others needing service. Chris, I shipped my LD-49N long tube door chime to you on a Monday after a brief phone conversation brought about by your excellent video on the repair of this unit. Today a Wednesday, one week later I have it back and installed working fine. Thank you for the COMPLETE rebuild and super fast turnaround at a very reasonable cost.

My IMA3303 was just about dead. No chime, radio, intercom. Chris tried troubleshooting it over the phone to no avail. Sent it to him and it was returned about a week later working perfectly. The tip in cleaning contacts at the remote stations was especially helpful....no scratchy conversations. Northside is the best.

My IM5000 intercom was destroyed by a lightning strike and I was afraid I would have to replace my entire intercom system. Chris said he could fix it and he did! It is working great again. Thanks Chris and Cindy for all the help. You truly are life savers and the candy was great too!

We just moved from CA to AZ into a home with a Nutone IMA-3303, and are rapidly getting lazy using it, along with actually enjoying a radio that plays “everywhere.” I was wanting to attach a Bluetooth or other wireless device to it to play from the Amazon Alexa, or from my cell, etc. I ran across your two videos on the matter, and have to write to say that they were the most professional quality I’ve seen on YouTube, bar none. The speaking, clarity, visual aids, equipment used, etc., were just perfect for instructional videos. WELL DONE !!
Not that it matters, but I was a technical instructor in three Nuclear Power Plants for over 15 years, and know one when I see one, so to speak. Great job, and thanks for what you do.
Wish you did some for Harley Davidsons.
Now I know where to go if and when my system croaks.

Recently we had our NuTone IM3003 Intercom Master Station refurbished by the Northside Service Company. After the work by Chris Peters, the motherboard not only looked like new, but worked like new. Our door chime now has a beautiful clear sound and we can listen to the radio again, without experiencing a loud hum. We are very pleased with the work that Chris did. We should have had this done many years ago. The videos provided by Chris were extremely useful in removing the motherboard, as well as cleaning the remote stations. Thanks again.

Chris fixed my IM3303 three times ! Like they say third time is a charm. I am never disappointed with Northside . Very professional and best of all actually know what they are doing. It is a pleasure to deal with such a reputable company. After E mailing a service request, I got a call from Chris. I explained my situation and he had the right answers. After sending in my IMA4406, I got in back promptly (Florida to California and back)
All the problems were fixed, replaced parts returned along with instructions to adjust volumes. The videos are a great help in all aspects of using the intercom system.

It was a pleasure to deal with Chris and Cindy. I now have a new appreciation of my nutone system as it never worked as well as it does now. Would highly recommend Northside service to get any Nutone system back to full operation.. They know what they are doing and how to make the customer experience as easy as possible

I contacted Chris looking for someone to repair a severely damaged NuTone IMA4406 Intercom system. From the initial telephone discussion to the directions for packing and shipping the product out for repair, Chris gave precise information and support that led to a successful outcome. He provided detailed videos on removal and packing, solid diagnosis upon receipt, and a totally repaired system(with 3.5mm audio jack upgrade) that exceeded our expectations. Just received repaired IM3003 and WOW! Looks new, and works great. I forgot how the doorbell sounded, it has been so long without it. Next, is to get the patio intercom working.
