How to Perform a "Reset" on a NuTone IM3303 or IMA3303 Master Station

Sometimes after the power has been off in your home the NuTone IM3303 or IMA3303 Master Station will need to be "Reset" to clear the micro-controller and allow the system to operate again.

It's very common after the power has turned back on for the IM3303 or IMA3303 to have a blank display, no radio, no door chime, and no intercom. . . or some combination of all of these problems.

Here's a short video showing exactly how to perform the "Reset".

Hi Karen,

Well, it depends. . . There can be many problems that cause the Radio to not work properly. What was the original problem that caused you to push the Rest Button?

Since this may be a complicated problem, it may be easier if you call me to discuss te problems with your IM3303

Thanks

I have a NuTone IM-3303. I have noticed that it has no power. I checked all my breakers, but none are tripped. Your videos are how to do a master reset, but it won't help me if there is no power at all. Can you help?

Hi Scott,

The first thing to check are the low-voltage transformers that power the IM3303 Master Station. These should be supplying between 16.5 - 17.5 volts AC. Are your Transformers putting out that voltage?

If they are - then it's likely that there is a problem with your IM3303. If there is no power out of each transformer you will need to see if there is power into each transformer (110 volts)

Do not just replace the transformers in the hope that this will solve the problem - it almost never does.

You can call me for further explanation and help if needed
