After several local phone calls to Nutone service dealers I was beginning to lose hope and $1500 for a new unit. I decided to troubleshoot online and Chris' website came up. The website and Chris were very helpful and I decided repairing it myself was not possible; so I shipped the unit to Chris at Northside Service Company. The "like new" unit was returned in less than a week and works like a charm and at a considerable savings. Thank you Chris and Cindy.

I am so glad we found Northside Service! The information that they have made available online is a great service to NuTone owners. Our 1986 vintage NuTone 3003 is back in service, working perfectly and looking like new. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and professional; his obvious expertise when we spoke on the phone convinced me to ship my NuTone across the country for repair. He replaced a total 37 electrolytic capacitors and a defective chime module; while I might have tackled the former, the latter would have stopped me cold. As an old Yankee I really appreciate being able to repair something rather than just pitching it into the landfill and buying new. We are looking forward to many more years with our system. Chris I just wanted to let you know I received the IM5006 back via FedX on Saturday. I reinstalled the unit and everything works just like new.
This unit is twenty years old and I thought it was a gonner but you put it back in like new condition. Thanks for your professionalism which is very rare

Chris - wanted to thank you for the great service. My NuTone IM3003 is back in perfect working order. Appreciate the great packing and quick turn around. I still can't get over the number of capacitors that were replaced. Again working great and I expect another 20 years out of it. Will recommend your service to my neighbors. Take care.

I contacted Northside about repairing my NuTone 3003 which was showing its age AND had been damaged by water during wall paper removal. I spoke with Chris and inquired about repair or replacing. He asked a good question, "Would you be replacing the system if it was still working?" The answer was, of course, no. I sent the unit for repair and asked Chris to add an I-Pod docking station. Chris was extremely helpful and never condescending to a novice installer. I failed to connect the ground wire and Chris helped me diagnose and repair the problem. Chris also informed me how to get the static out of the remote speakers. Excellent. The system works like new. The I Pod dock is terrific. Great service. Good value. I would gladly do business with Chris and Northside again.

Up until now everything has worked perfectly, but in the past month the door bell and door speaker have stopped working.
