How To Remove Your NuTone IM3003 Master Station - Video -

The NuTone IM3003 Radio Intercom Master Station is the most common model we have sent to us for repair.

I have learned that owners find it somewhat daunting to open up their Master Stations and disconnect all of the cables and wires so it can be removed and sent to us.  They find it equally difficult to reinstall after they have received the rebuilt IM3003 Master back.

After I have spoken with each customer about their repair, I send them a copy of the original Installation Instructions which gives the step-by-step instructions and diagrams to install their IM3003.  This works for many owners, but I think a video showing how to remove their IM3003 may be better.

Here is a short video showing the removal of a typically installed NuTone IM3003 Master Station.

After this IM3003 was removed from the Installation Mock-up I moved it over to the repair bench (yes, it really belongs to a customer!).

Here are some pictures of the faceplate after all of the paint was removed and it has been cleaned.

Here's a picture after all of the circuit boards have been cleaned and rebuilt, the face place has been washed and it's all ready to be reassembled.

Final testing took place after it was put back together, everything worked great.
