Very pleased with the professional way Chris' company handled the issues with my twenty-seven year old Nutone Intercom system. From calling me with feedback regarding the " Intercom Repair Request Form" I sent in, to the return of my fixed intercom master board, all went as previously explained. The added benefit when I reinstalled the master board was the service video regarding the cleaning of my nine speakers within the system. The video gave me a step by step process to clean the inside components. The speakers now sound better than they ever have. Thanks Chis and Cindy.

What a breath of fresh air. It is wonderful to find a company with such outstanding service. I am over 81 years old and not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to electronics. With Chris' help I was able to disconnect my ageing IM4006 and ship it to him for repair. Upon return it looked brand new and with further help from Chris, both by email and telephone, I was able to reinstall the system . It is working better than new and I am in the process of spreading the word about Chris and his great organization.

When my NuTone LA52 door chime stopped chiming and started humming I searched the Internet for a solution. I found a YouTube video of Chris fixing the same door chime with the same problem I had. I was impressed and completed a service request. Chris called me and explained the process and price. I shipped my door chime to him and it was repaired so that it chimes and no longer hums. Dealing with Chris and Cindy was a pleasure and they did what they promised for the price they promised. Very efficient. I will recommend them to friends and family should the need arise. Thanks for solving my problem.

Chris, you are a genious! To be honest, I really did not think that cleaning the contacts was going to fix the problem but I went ahead and did it anyhow.
I reviewed the U-Tube video that was helpful but I was afraid to pull off the buttons on the units so I stuck the extension tube with cleaner around the buttons and sprayed. I was able to pull of the volume dials and perform the cleaning as suggested. I also opened the master unit and found a couple of connections that seemed a bit loose so I sprayed them as well. I did not use DeOxit as suggested because I had some cleaner at home already called CRC 2-26. The first 24 hrs resulted in some static noise coming through the system and I had to turn down the volume controls but after a day or so that seems to have calmed down and now the front door speaker seems to be working properly and the static when depressing the indoor units markedly improved. So for now, the intercom seems to be working. I will be back in contact with you if it fails agin. Thanks Again! Regards, Howard

After 26 years, my IM3003 decided wake us up with a deafening hum. Found Chris's service on the Internet and shipped him my dead intercom. In a few days, it was back home as good as new. The remote speaker switches were also dirty. Cleaned them as Chris explained in one of his videos. Got the DeoxIT cleaners at Fry's in Palo Alto. Thanks Chris for you prompt and exceptional service!

I had called around to several places that sell Nutone Systems closer to my home in Northern California and could not get service on my IMA-4406 . I was ready to give up when I read the reviews on Northside Service Co. I called and spoke with Chris and he was so helpful and sent by email videos on removal and packaging of the unit to send unit to them, It was not as hard as I thought it would be, even after seeing all those wires!....I actually took it to UPS for packaging and mailing. It was fixed and returned to me within a week. Chris was also able to add a I-Pod jack so the unit is updated which is really great as we do not get good FM reception in this area . I also now have a doorbell again!,,,,,I really like this system and am so thankful to Chris and Cindy for being there for repair and can't say enough "Thank you's".....Please don't hesitate to use Northside Service.....very professional and great customer service!.....Even got a package of candy"Lifesavers" in return package!...Thanks again and will recommend other to you....Sue Duval

Thank you for taking your time with me on the phone and for sending this information. Also, I apologize for being so late in my response.

After we spoke, I found a business locally that came to my home and made the repairs on both the base unit as well as replacing two of the speakers that failed years ago. I had almost forgot how much they were needed, but now I am enjoying Sirius-XM and TV sound in all of my rooms. It is surprising that very few folks I tell about my intercom system have any knowledge or interest, but I never stay in one place in my home and having the sound throughout is wonderful.

Thank Goodness there are still some of you guys around who can service and repair the Nutone IM-303 Radio Intercom System.

Overall, the service from beginning to end was outstanding. After finding the website, communication with Chris made the process of servicing my 23 year old IM3003 master unit a breeze. The unit was repaired promptly as originally projected. The unit was re-installed the same day it was received and it worked as new. My wife and I can now tell what we have been missing for quite some time, but our teenagers probably will not remember the system working this well. Chris was able to provide us a much needed exterior module for the patio; the original was discarded during a house remodel. In addition, we were able to rejuvenate the front door module with a new lighted button. We are very happy with the results, and would recommend using Northside for addressing your intercom challenges - Chris' approach/solution is more cost effective and timely than having to replace the entire system.
Looking forward to the next 20 years of music, chat and more.

Wow -- Very fast and friendly service! Chris knew exactly what was wrong with our intercom, and turned it around very quickly. Cost was exactly what was quoted. Very pleased with the result. I was so excited to get it back in service that I added a Google ChromeCast Audio when I reinstalled it. Very happy customer.

I happened upon the Northside website while looking into alternatives for replacing my master intercom Nutone IM3003 unit. Much to my chagrin, I learned that I would probably have to replace not only the master unit, but also all the room speaker units!!! Then I found this site. Doorbell did not work. Buzzing loud all the time. Horrible loud clicking when one tried to use the intercom. Door speakers simply didn't work. Chris assured me that he could have it back to me like new. And so he did. I got it back in a very timely manner and installed it. With great trepidation, I started testing things. One by one, it became apparent that ALL the problems had been corrected. Everything worked beautifully. Great to have a doorbell again. Charges were as expected and compared to a new system, and all the holes to fit, cost, and aggravation....a real treat. Honest people. We installed a Nutone intercom / Radio IMA-406 D master along with 10 separate speakers in several rooms along with a couple on our patio in 1978. The Radio is constantly on 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so eventually it had to break down. I searched for someone who would advise me as to what Nutone system I could install to replace this old worn out unit. Well I came across this WEB site called Northside Intercom Repair, so I filled out a questionnaire regarding my particular Radio. I received a call the next day from a gentleman by the name of Chris Peters, I explained in detail what problems we were experiencing, Chris assured me that he could repair our system and have it back to us playing like new. When we received the Radio back and I reinstalled it we could not believe our ears, we don’t ever remember the Radio playing this good. Ana and I searched high and low to an alternative to replacing our Nutone door chime and intercom system.

We found Chris Peters; we disconnected our Nutone system sent it to Chris (he completely refurbished the internal components) and returned it to us. We now have Bluetooth accessible intercoms radio and door chime all working; without having to pay for a new system.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Chris at Northside.

Chris repaired my intercom IM4406. I installed it the day I received it, and it worked perfectly. It was a 1 week turn around from Georgia.
The price was just as quoted. He also cleaned the contacts on my shop speaker and it is working again also.

We had a Nutone intercom that was totally dead. I looked into replacing everything, but decided to have the master unit repaired.
I sent unit in and when I got it back and reinstalled it, everything worked great. I am so happy I had it repaired.

We found Chris and Cindy to be great people to work with. They not only did what they said they would do but went above and beyond. We want to get our system fixed before our kids came out to visit for a month and they pulled it off.
There help with removing it and packing it were easy to follow and worked great. I will not hesatate to use there services again. They are the best.

Our 30 year old Nutone IM3003 finally gave up the ghost. After some searching, I found Chris and Northside Service Company, which proved to be a great find. Not only did I receive email instructions,
but also a personal phone call from Chris to discuss the issues. The unit was sent off, and less than a week later was returned in absolutely perfect working condition, along with all the replaced parts
and an instruction sheet on the best settings and adjustments for longevity. I couldn't be more pleased.

Thanks for taking the time to trouble shot my problem with my Nutone system. The problem was solved this weekend. Someone in the family touched a button which made the radio auto turn on around noon. Per your instructions, we did not turn the system on and suddenly around noon the music started to play. You are a real master of the Nutone system, and you were kind enough to offer suggestions.

Hello Chris,

Although I received the IM3303 Intercom you repaired several weeks ago, I only got around to installing it yesterday at the insistence of my wife. Actually I hate the machine in that is lets my wife track me down too easily - but to keep the peace I installed it. I guess, unfortunate for me, the repaired unit works absolutely great and is actually better than it ever was, primarily because of that very useful sheet of set-up procedures you sent back with the unit.

Apparently, the fellow who installed the machine back in 2010, didn’t have a clue as to how to set it up and I never understood what was going on. Never was the audio so clear and the radio never sounded good. So, thank you for that, as my wife now turns on the intercom radio for music throughout the house in lieu of cranking up the power consuming TV, Satellite receiver, the living room amplifier/speaker system attached to that TV, and a TV in each of two bedrooms. WOW!!! That is a big power savings and thank you for that part of it. It is also good to have our chime doorbell back again.

Thanks again for your service - you did an absolutely great job and I am very pleased. My wife is very grateful. Me, I am still on the fence - but I guess it is better than trying to install a newer non-three wire system. Only kidding - THANKS for the effort ! ! !

We are delighted with the outstanding results! As I was browsing the internet, I almost gave up believing I would find a reputable company to help us with our issue. Then I read the information
contained on your website. I was intrigued, impressed and curious.....the journey began and ended with you.
The previous repair shop went 'belly up; literally 'took' our money and did NOT fix the unit.

The unit is now repaired, reinstalled and working like it was when initially installed. The instructions you included when you sent it back to us were very easy to follow.

I just wanted to say Thank You for Your help and Prompt Support!

I submitted a Help Request Sunday evening, May 10, 2015 for a Patio Speaker that was not working on my IMA-3033. Chris called me Monday May 11 to further discuss the problem and told me that all was needed to repair was a NuTone Patio Speaker Cone. Cindy took the order and I received the Cone Thursday May 14th. I installed the new Cone and now have a Working Patio Speaker. Other Dealers including the Dealer who sold and installed my system told me that the only solution was to purchase a new System.
