We just received our refurbished intercom, doorbell unit. It is like brand new! They are a very professional business and they really take pride in doing great work! We had fun playing music throughout the house and using the intercom throughout the house and it works better than ever!!

Bottom line: Cindy and Chris are nice folks who do a great job!
I can't tell you how happy our family is that Chris was able to repair our 29 year old Rittenhouse 8 Tone Chime repaired. We were all disappointed when it stopped working and we found out the Rittenhouse has long been out of business.
We could find no one who worked on the unit until I saw one of Chris's You tube videos on how to repair Nu-Tone, but he demo a repair on a model similar to our Rittenhouse. Both Cindy and Chris were very nice when I called.. He told me it was fixable. He then told me how to disconnect the unit and to be sure to make a drawing of the different color wiring because they are not all connected in the same way. It came back on time working like a charm. It was obvious that they took a great deal of care in wrapping the unit for the return. I was so grateful that he had me making a drawing of the different wires.
Bottom line, they are nice folks who do a great job!

In March 2021 I had Chris refurbish my NuTone 1955 K46 Jefferson door chime, which included the clock and chime mechanisms. I spoke to Chris a few times on the telephone before sending in my jewel for repair. He is so patient and full of knowledge, which he is certainly willing to share. He brought back to life my beautiful door chime, and I could not be more thrilled!! Thank you for doing what you do, to include making all the step by step videos on YouTube, so interesting and informative. A shout out to Cindy also who is a very nice and helpful, the Lifesavers were great too, a flash from the past!!

We installed the Nutone IM4406 in our new home in 2003 and about a year ago, it stopped working. I found Chris/Northside on Youtube and decided to contact him after watching his videos. I sent it off to him and he had it fixed in less than a week and shipped it back promptly. It works as good as new and am so thankful I have my radio/CD player (in time for Christmas CD's) and doorbell. My electrician stopped in for another issue and I showed him the finished product and he took Chris and Cindy's contact info for future work. I highly recommend their work and thank you Northside!

I don't often write reviews, but I felt compelled to let you know how I feel about Northside Service Company: they are outstanding! The first time I had problems with my NuTone IM-5000 intercom system, Chris walked me through the troubleshooting and repair on my own (it was simple enough to fix on my own--with guidance from Chris). The second time I had problems, it was severe enough that I had to send it in for repair. Chris turned it around very quickly and I had it back in operation in no time. I can't say enough good things about Northside Service Company!

When my IM-5000 (and many stations) started to have problems, I wanted to fix it myself (I have an EE background). But then I found Chris' videos on YouTube, I immediately knew that he has deep technical knowledge and experience with the system. Dealing with Chris (and Cindy) was a pleasure. Everything from packaging, repair, and shipping was of high quality and integrity. I reinstalled the system and everything worked. Thank you!

Our Nutone intercom system stopped working. The Nutone system was installed permanently when we remodeled in 2007. I really didn't want to have a lot of non-functioning intercoms mounted on the walls. Our local intercom guy sent the motherboard away to be rebuilt, and now everything works again! Our local guy had a long chat with Chris, and was very impressed by his knowledge and experience. Hooray for Northside Service!

Northside Service Company (Christopher Peters) has been a life saver. My Nutone LA-52 door chime decided to stop working after 25 plus years. A Youtube video led me to contact NSC and within several weeks I had a repaired unit.
The LA-52 is actually more than a door chime, it is programmed with 24 selectable tunes. And more than a door chime , stepping through all 24 tunes every day provides endless entertainment for my 20 year old Blue-fronted Amazon Parrot.
My wife and parrot were at a total loss without the LA-52, but Mr. Peters delivered a real "Life Saver" with the repaired unit which gets a loud THANK YOU from me, my wife, and beloved parrot.

Our NuTone IM3204 intercom was not working. I first contacted Chris to see what they would recommend and to learn about the company. We live in Iowa so I was concerned with sending the unit half way across the country. When talking
he gave me a rough idea on the repair costs after I explained the problems. I felt confident about them after seeing the videos and talking with Chris. I followed his videos on removing and packing the master unit. Chris made the repairs and
I have since reinstalled the unit. It is working fine. Northside Service Company was very helpful and did what they said. I am very pleased.

A big high five to Chris! He repaired our IM4406 to like new condition. I had just about given up on ever being ab to use it again. Also,his How To videos are great for us DIYers.

I was sooo frustrated. I loved the sound of the doorbell in mon’s 1950s house. It sounded so lovely. When it stopped working it took awhile to find Northside. I watched the video and decided to let them fix it. Yea!!! it works and sounds lovely again!. We only dealt with them by phone and by mail and they were very pleasant people. Thanks for making my mom’s house sound like home again.

My wife and I have known Chris and Northside Service Company since late last century, and gladly procured items, and very rare service for our central vacuum system when he was located in Danville. Until recently, we thought that the business had closed, but recently found Chris on-line, and available in San Ramon. I called to ask about repairing our central vacuum system vacuum, and described the symptoms. Chris accurately diagnosed what he thought was the problem, and made an appointment for me to come to him. While I suspect that this may be unusual, he not only had the required part (a relay), he tested the system on the spot, and completed the repair while I was there.

I know of no professional of any kind who is willing and able to do that. He is simply extraordinary.

When building our home in 1978, I installed a nutone IMA406 master with ten room speakers, two door units and a chime. Sometime later we added a record player and connected a tape player. Last December the master quit. While we were doing a lot of reviewing replacement systems and seaching for a replacement master unit, found 2 service businesses that would repair the master unit, Northside and one in NY. Contacted both places but decided to use Northside Service Company because Chris promptly called and then send me an email with connections to all of his very heplful infro. Also, his turn around time was a few days verus 3 or 4 months. After receiving the mastere unit, he had it repaired and ready to send back in less than a week. Highly reccomend Northside Service Company.

I don't usually post comments, but I felt compelled to make a comment about the service I recently received from Northside Service Company. The service was EXCELLENT! I sent my NuTone intercom system from Florida to California because Chris's online instructions were so clear and easy to understand. I felt like he knew what he was doing and I could be trusted to fix my machine. Thanks Chris, it's not often that people exceed my expectations, but you did.

Chris is amazing! He totally restored our 1993 Nutone master unit and also many interior and the exterior speakers, that only lasted 1-2 years due to moisture, and had to be replaced WHEN they were still available years ago.
He continues to revive the intercom speakers throughout our property.
We haven't a clue how we would communicate on our horse ranch without the intercom he has continued to repair, speaker by speaker. (we don't have good cell service where we live)

UNBELIVEABLY FANTASTIC, AMAZING and they are nice people too! Found wizard Chris on You Tube. I was looking to repair my 8-note chime doorbell. Winchester chime. Anyway, I watched his repair video then decided to call to see if they would do the work since I was missing some critical parts. Well, not only did they fix my doorbell at a reasonable price, they were as nice as can be. Chris and Cindy ~. THANK YOU! Doorbell works great and I added a video doorbell button outside, so now I have old-world charm of the Winchester chime and video as well. These folks far exceeded my expectations. I mailed them the part (the whole guts of the doorbell) they fixed it quickly and mailed it right back. They packaged it with super care. Again, thank you Chris & Cindy. And thank you for the treat inside the box!

I searched the internet extensively to find a company to rebuild my NuTone base station ….thankfully I came across Northside Service Company. From the first call of inquiry that I made, Chris was extremely helpful about answering my questions. The price for the rebuild I felt was fair and the help videos that he provided were quite helpful in aiding me in removing the unit from the wall and packing/shipping it correctly. More importantly, I think that the unit spent more time in shipping in each direction than it too for Chris to rebuild the unit …..it arrived at their shop on Thursday and they called to say that it was done by the following Tuesday!!! I reinstalled the unit this weekend and it works beautifully!! Thanks Chris for a great caring job!!! I'll use you again for any future repairs that my system might need.
