Just received my repaired NuTone IMA4406 intercom. It looks brand new I had it re-whiten and repaired. Chris did an excellent job and went above and beyond making sure everything was functioning properly. I now have an intercom system that I can use and it's not a prop on the wall. Thanks Chris
We received our IM3003 back from being re-built and I can't tell you how happy we are. Chris was a pleasure to work with and his quality of work and his turn around time was simply the best. I am very pleased we located Northside Service Co. on the internet. I would strongly recommend Northside to anyone with a non-functioning Nutone intercom system that wants it working like new!!

From the moment I discovered the oompany and watched the extremely helpful videos on YouTube, I knew I was working with true professionals.
Chris and his team are some of the best people I have ever done business with.
The process was flawless and we are extremely happy with the results of the refurbishing, and whitening of our 30 year old intercom master station.
If you have an old system and want to make it work and look like new, Northside Service Company and Chris can handle it perfectly for you.
By the way the whitening and adding the Bluetooth is well worth the extra cost.

In the world of love and romance, the lament is sometimes, "You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince " (or princess). This can be true for household maintenance/repair since it seems as if I have to endure a lot of unprofessional/incompetent people to get stuff fixed. Once in a while I come across special people whom I call "stars." Be they doctors, dentists or plumbers, they not only are extraordinarily competent, they are genuinely kind and compassionate. They are just all-around great people. Chris is such a person, and since Cindy is his wife, I'm sure she is special, too. Last year a couple of frogs told me the wiring was bad for our non-working NuTone doorbell chimes, both front and back doors, and repairs would cost a bundle. Were any of these people professional electricians with experience in doorbell repair? Uh, no. What did they know? I went online to find somebody who could determine if the problem was the wiring or the mechanism assembly. Thankfully, I found the Northside Service Co. website. From then on, everything fell into place, quickly and easily. Chris fixed the mechanism and now the chimes for both doors sound perfect. Chris is definitely one of my stars.
Just when I thought reliable service, technical knowledge, and integrity no longer existed, I found Northside Service Company. I have an IM-4006 which was installed in 1987 here in Denver, CO. Besides the Master Station, I have two outside speaker locations and 6 inside speaker stations. At the end of last year (2019) a loud humming noise started on my Master Intercom Unit. I started searching YouTube to see if my model was discussed and I could find some easy repair. I found Chris Peters video's to be very informative on system operations, issues, and repairs. Based on these videos I knew after 32 years my system was in dire need of a thorough repair and overhaul. Local Nutone Service Centers are non existent. I then noticed a Northside Service Company label on a video. After finding the website, I filled out the online Intercom Repair Request Form. Within a couple of hours to my surprise, Chris from Northside was on the line to discuss my form. It's not very often you get immediate responses to requests. After discussing the situation with Chris, it was obvious Northside was who I needed to repair my system. Chris provided all the removal, packing, speaker station cleaning instructions, and an estimate for my system repair. Shortly after my intercom arrived at Northside, 4 days later my unit was ready. I also took advantage of having the memory battery replaced, and a input jack installed for connection to my Echo Dot. Cindy called and we reviewed the charges, and she sent the unit on its way with a bag full of the components which had been replaced. A total of 13 days from the time it was removed, I was reinstalling the system per Chris' installation and adjustment sheets. The system operated flawlessly, the sound was clear and crisp, and I couldn't be happier. I now have a fully functioning system, intercom, radio, clock, cassette (I still have some to play), and door chime. What a great way to start the New Year. Thank you Chris and Cindy at Northside Service Company.
We have lived in our house since 1986. The radio of our Nutone 2540 worked for a while but never well, and recently not at all. The 8 track tape player also worked for a while but we haven't had any tapes to play on it for years! We were investigating having the entire system replaced when I came across Northside Service Company's website. I filled out the request form but was not optimistic of getting a reply. Imagine my surprise (well, previous customers won't be surprised!) when Chris called me! After our discussion, my husband and I decided to send our unit to Chris for repair. His videos and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Within tow days of our conversation, our unit was on its way to Chris. While it was out, I followed Chris's YouTube videos and cleaned the master unit switches and the remote control boxes. The videos are easy to follow! I even got the courage to remove the 8 track tape player from the wall! We now have our master unit back and reinstalled and it works better than ever! Chris was a delight to work with and we recommend him very highly! I wish everyone we worked with was as customer service focused as Northside Service Company led by Chris!
I have a NuTone 3003 system in our home we purchased 5 years ago in WA state. The door chime hasn’t worked, nor did the 5 units in the house. I finally found and contacted Northside Sercive Co. by email and. Chris contacted me. He sent detailed videos on how to disconnect and ship our main unit to him. He also sent detailed information on how to clean the other units with the productS he uses. . In a few days our system was repaired and ready to ship back after payment. I have installed the main unit with no problem and the system works! Chris at Northside Sevice Co.has provided great customer service from beginning to end.
I have an L-series 4 and 8 tone Nutone chime doorbell, and found your videos on YouTube. Awesome. I especially like the detail and explanation of the features, and the history. Thank you. I had no idea what we had.
From your overview video, I believe mine was made in 1969, which is interesting because the house wasn't built until 1972. It has been hitting on one regular chime and one muted chime for a long time, and finally, when someone knocked on the door to tell me he had been ringing the bell without an answer, I figured out none of the chimes were ringing. But now, with your service video, I now know what I need to do restore it to its original sound. Hopefully.

I am located in IL (western burbs of IL) and have m&s mc602 installed in my house that I bough few years ago.
It seems that M&S has gone out of bussiness and there is no support available. Would you be able to recommend someone or may be help me with the following 2 issues:
1. For the past few months my system is stuck in a "TALK" state. In other words the system is behaving as some one is pressing the talk button and I can hear the bleed-in from radio stations on all the stations (including the main stattion.
2. I just bought a RING 2 doorbell and needed some help in integrating it with my current intercom system.

My Nutone Intercom display backlight failed after a couple of years of operation. I started looking on the web for causes of this failure and stumbled across Chris' video series. The quality of the instructional videos
was (is) so impressive that I thought I'd contact Chris to discuss the issue that I am having. One of my worries was that since I am in Virginia and Northside Service Co. is in California.... well I wouldn't be able to drop
by to visit the company should I need to get additional help. In other words, one concern was: Would Northside do right by me?
Well I sent the master station for repair and received it back today (earlier than expected) and low and behold.... the unit works the same as when it was unpacked new from NUTONE.
Congratulations to Northside for being an upright company to do business with!

I looked all over the St. Louis area to finds a company that would work on my intercom and couldn't find anyone. I finally found someone from a burglar alarm company who told me that he'd repair our intercom if we'd switch our burglar alarm monitoring to his company. It turns out that he had our intercom for over two months, and when he reinstalled the master unit, it only worked for a few months before it conked out again.
At that point I was so desperate that I tried to talk a person I know who repairs guitar amplifiers to take a look at our master unit. Fortunately for us, he didn't show up, which turned out to be good news because I then found Northside Service Company on the internet, filled out a Request to Repair Intercom Form, and began working with Chris and Cindy.
In less than two weeks from the day I sent Chris and Cindy my master unit, it was returned to me. And, everything has been terrific with Northside Service Company; from the first phone call from Chris, to his assistance with troubleshooting, to the extremely helpful videos on their website, to Cindy's help with billing, mailing, and other administrative matters.
I am very pleased to recommend Northside Service Company to anyone out there who needs help with their NuTone Intercom. You won't be disappointed.
Just wanted to say how delighted I am with my newly repaired NuTone LA61 chime. Chris did a great job of quickly turning it around after I sent it to him. My 34 year old chime sounds as good as new and I can even have it play the Marseillaise whenever someone rings the front door. (Actually, I can't. My wife nixed that.)

Thanks Chris for doing such an excellent job repairing my thirty year old NuTone IM3003 Master Station. When I removed it from the shipping box it was so bright and shiny it looked like a new station. After installing it I used your clear instructions for setting it up.. It sounds great and it sure is nice to hear those chimes again. Also, I enjoyed the LifeSavers.
Chris, thanks again for helping out with a refurbished master station. It works perfectly and I hope to get many years of enjoyment out of it. Music is again piping throughout the house

Chris restored our 30 year-old IM-4006 intercom in just a few days, and even included all the old capacitors and power regulators that he removed from the boards in the old beast.
The unit now sounds great and re-installation was a breeze, with Chris' expert videos and detailed write-ups.
Chris and Cindy know their business, their product and take great care of their customers. When your Nutone products begin to show their "old age", you can trust them to get them
like "new" again.

Just want to leave a thumbs up on the 3300 intercom system I just had repaired after being burnt with a power surge. Chris called me and explained everything which doesn't happen in today's world. I received the unit all packaged up (just like he said he would) plugged it all in-- and guess what-- IT ALL WORKED just like new. Thank you Chris for your knowledge and fixing my unit--- you saved the unit from going to the landfill :(
After watching a few of Chris's youtube videos on Nutone Intercom trouble shooting and repairs, I concluded that the problem with my unit was the chime module. Looking to find a replacement was not as easy as I thought, so I decided to call the phone number in the videos description. Low and behold Chris answered the phone and began troubleshooting my system. He came to the same conclusion that I had, it was a bad chime board. Apparently the system is sensitive to lightning strikes. Who would have thought that the system would have lasted so long in Florida, the lightning capital of the U.S. So I sent it in and a few weeks later it was returned. I installed it and my 30 year old system is back up and running. If only all home repairs were this easy! Thanks for all the help Chris and it was a pleasure to speak with you on the phone.

Christopher Peters did a great job restoring our 25 year old Nutone IM4006 intercom. His video made it relatively easy to pull it out and his shipping instructions
were a big help. The intercom is as good as new. IT EVEN KEEPS TIME PROPERLY NOW - it never did before. I live on the East Coast and was only without the unit
for two and a half weeks. My wife appreciated the roll of Life Savers that was enclosed in the box when it returned.
I have been most pleasantly surprised by the professionalism. quality of workmanship and speedy turn around. I could not more highly recommend this company and the personnel.
I am usually not very good about leaving feedback about products or services but I thought Chris and NorthSide was deserving of a thank you . We have been in our old farmhouse for about 5 years now and my wife really came to
enjoy the Nutone radio . About a year ago while I was on a hunting trip she called me to tell me the radio stopped working, it was buzzing very load and could barely hear the radio. Being an IT professional I was thinking about
retrofitting the master with a small bluetooth/raspberry pie touchscreen computer but after some emotional discussions with my wife we decided doing that would lose the heritage feel of it. Having some extra time during the whole pandemic
situation I finally decided to research options. I came across this website and decided to contact them on a weekend. First thing that Monday they contacted me and discussed the problem, solution, cost, turn around time, and were kind enough
to offer a lot of useful suggestions for using the Nutone to get the best quality and extend the life. I sent the master in per their instructions and less than two weeks later we had it back home, installed, and working as promised. It is not always find
