This particular Model 2067 came into the shop with very few sings of life, the dial lamps were really the only parts that appeared to work.
Upon initial investigation, I notice that someone had bypassed the on/off switch and they had wired in a separate toggle switch for the power. Then I found that the volume control section of this switch assembly would not turn past 1/3 of it rotation.
By carefully forcing the volume knob, I was able to turn it further but it was obvious that it was broken internally. This was probably caused by someone turning it beyond it's normal range of travel sometime in the past.
If I held the control in just the right position, I could make the radio play, always a good sign.
Luckily I had a very good, used replacement control assembly from another 2067. I cleaned the pots and set about to remove the broken control and install the replacement.
