NuTone Model 2067 Bare Face Plate

The chassis is easily removed form the plastic face plate, there are just 4 screws that hold it in place, even the wires that attach to the speaker cone are held in place with screws.

This is important because when a 2067 / 2068 needs to be rebuilt, only the chassis should ever be shipped in for repair.

This is because the face plate is extremely fragile and easily broken.  What ever type of plastic was used in the face plate, it was a very poor choice.  It is quite easy to grab the edge of the face plate, twist lightly and snap off the edge (don't ask how I know this).

There is no way that any amount of careful packaging will be enough to allow the face plate  to survive shipping.  It is almost a guarantee the it will arrive broken.
