NuTone IM4006 master station

The IM4006 was introduced in 1986 and became the most popular model made by NuTone.  It featured AM FM radio and built-in cassette player-recorder and Hands-Free-Reply Intercom functions.

With its larger 4-1/2 watt amplifer the sound quality improved over the previous IMA406.  While the IM4006 was a very reliable model and stayed in production until 1996, it was not without its problems.

It's been 17 years since the last IM4006's were manufactured and they are now one of the most common models for repair.
